The PCIe carrier board can be used to get NMEA (time, position, navigation) and 1PPS in any server and can also be used as a standard CM4 carrier board.

It presents two serial ports in the operating system (standard Linux kernel ok, no custom drivers required):

- 1x to the U-blox module on the Timecard Mini, and

- 1x to the CM4 serial console (if present).

Plus you've got access to the in-band ethernet port in the CM4, microSD card etc.

The uses are endless, but with our free Timebeat software which runs both on x86_64 and ARM you can build grandmasters and high-accuracy clock sync clients to your heart's content at prices never seen before.

The Timecard Mini is part of the Timecard ecosystem in production with some of the biggest hyper-scalers in the world today.

All modules support all GNSS constellations (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou, QZSS, and SBAS) in either a single or multi-constellation configuration. 

The LEA-M8F supports market-leading 100ppb holdover and is the flagship product.

The platinum edition comes with the SiTIME SiT5721 for 5-10ppb holdover capabilities making the TImeCard mini one of the most cost-effective solutions for flexible, versatile, and reliable nanosecond synchronisation.

The SiTime SiT5721 is the industry’s smallest Stratum 3E OCXO with ±5 ppb frequency stability. You simply will not find better performance in a smaller footprint anywhere - it is the current benchmark in high-end clock miniaturisation.

This module can be disciplined using I2C and is fully compatible with the free Timebeat clock synchronisation software.

The expansion module has an independent power regulator and is engineered to provide the absolute best dynamic performance. Leveraging SiTime’s unique DualMEMS™ and TurboCompensation™ temperature sensing technology, the OCXO delivers the most stable timing in the presence of environmental stressors such as airflow, temperature perturbation, vibration, shock, and electromagnetic interference (EMI).

 

Be aware the AI smart Sensor is currently a Pre-order solution and will delay delivery of the whole unit.
